We were so blessed to have two adorable boys come visit today. We were able to get those quintessential naked baby pictures, brothers being silly, cuddling mummy and just loads of adorable pictures. For this session, since we most probably won’t have the proof book ready before we leave I’ll put up a web gallery and send you your proof book to the UK.
Here is a sneak collage, enjoy.

For this session we did a white session and a black session separately to get the most of the kiddies. They were energetic, they kept me on my toes and they even got me to wear a butterfly fairy headband (for way longer than intended). After the session the children played in our playroom and almost did not want to go home:) I honestly should do a massive end of year party or something and invite all recent clients’ with small children then they can all get another chance to play with all the fun stuff that they invariably have too little time for:)
You’ll recognise the song for this week’s video sneak peek, it is “Smile” sung by Keegan Smith. It was specifically asked for. Hope you enjoy it.
Here is a few of the session. They are all so photogenic, its amazing.

Enjoy your video sneak peek. I’ll upload your gallery tomorrow as requested and the proof book has already been ordered, if we’re lucky its here before you head out.

These three children made me laugh, they had fun, they ran around, all over the studio and I worked for my money, and loved every little bit of it. They are gorgeous, thanks so much for coming!

We had so little time for this session and I will for sure repeat another session in September. It still was fun to see the girls enjoying themselves, doing cartwheels and running around. Miss I looks she alone is going to keep Mom in tip-top shape for a long time to come.
As most of you know I am not really a morning person so we opted for an afternoon session to try to deal with the heat. We would probably have had a little more time if we did the session at 6am and maybe next time I have a family session during summer I will do that, maybe stop by Starbucks on the way though:) I adore the golden colours of sunset best though so this was perfect.
Here is a quick collage of the girls:

I adore these girls (and Mom and Dad of course). I’ve seen them grow up, best of friends with my own little ones. Hope you enjoy the video sneak, we’ll add some of I later on.

This week end was very eventful with 3 sessions in one day. First a private on location in-door session with dramatic lighting effects, theme based on Elizabeth Taylor, then a mini maternity session and lastly a family session with my dearest friend and her family. I was running between sessions and absolutely loving the adrenaline. Such a variety in one day – I can’t belief how blessed I am.
We’ve been planning this family session since winter, actually since last year October and even though we are such close friends one thing led to another and we just never could manage to do the session sooner. At last we got to it, and its amazing what we came away with. I am currently still busy with other edits so, I’ve only been able to do 3 sneak peek edits so far. I was hoping for an outdoor session to play with editing. Gorgeous sunset and golden colours. I love late afternoon since I am a bit of a late starter and struggling to get up at 6h30 for shoots (which one would have to do these days if you want outdoor in the morning). Of course I am willing to set an alarm if anyone ever wanted to get up so early.
For this session we started after 6pm and had about an hour to get what we wanted before it was too dark. I’ll build on this session with some studio shots as well, so watch this space, later this month I’ll showcase the whole set of pictures. outdoor and indoor. For now, her is 3 sneaks.
Beautiful E, can’t belief how big she is getting.

Then the family – almost sunset (it was a little lighter out than the image looks, I did do a little creative editing.)

I photographed this family with their energetic and gorgeously blonde boys a year ago. Last time was outside this time studio. I loved seeing how big they got! You are such a friendly and lovely family, thanks for visiting. Here is a family photo as preview as well as your video. Will let you know as soon as the proofs are ready.

Here is the video sneak peek.

I was so honoured to take photos of this gorgeous family. They came to Dubai from Kazakstan and decided this visit is the ideal time for family photos. We arranged everything before they came and yesterday they took a taxi from Dubai. I am so glad they made it safe and sound and found it easily too:) The boys were adorable. Since they were russian and did not understand this crazy lady, Mom had to do the most of the explaining.
I loved this one and sharing this one for now. Your video sneak should follow in a week or so.

Another fun day was to be had on Thursday when we had the final day of the ADHSA shoots. Again so many for the sneak peek that I placed the full sneak peek album on facebook, here. For the blog I chose 2 per family.
For the first family I chose the two younger boys. All three of them was full of fun, we had pictures of laughs, of them piled up, or just gorgeous boy smiles. The first photo I think was almost the very first photo taken of the day.

This one was fun. He lifted himself on his hands.

Next came a family that must honestly have the most striking eyes ever. All three so gorgeous. I chose the sister and oldest boy for the blog, the others on facebook, go have a look

Love the one in his hat, really works well with the greens all round.

Last family had the prettiest little girls. The middle girl were not really into the photos so I was happy we got at least the attempt at a smile. In this beautiful family picture she might not be fully smiling but I still love photo so much.

This one was one of my favorites for the day and thats why I shared it earlier on facebook too. She is so super sweet.

Thanks so much for letting me capture your children’s smiles and laughter. Your gallery should follow before the 15th February.

Last Thursday was another day filled with pictures for the Abu Dhabi Home school assosiation. This time there were 5 families that met me throughout the day in a local park. I remember how cold we all got two weeks ago for day 1, this time it was a whole other ball game. I even felt a burn on my face that evening.
There were just too many images to place on the blog since I edited some sneak peeks for every child that wanted to, and the families. Every family had more than 2 children though so I decided to place the full sneak peek on the facebook page, head to this album to see them ADHSA day 2 album. For the blog I am only placing about 2-3 images per family.
For the first family I decided it will be the girls that get the spotlight. The first image is a favorite as I said to the little girl to show how much she loves mommy and I touched her face, she then went on and did the same to mommy, I adore it!

The second is the beautiful older sister, who has the longest hair, gorgeous.

For the next family I decided since they were the eldest of all the children they can each get their own spotlight, just because I tend to have only smaller children on the blog:) So big brother first. Bokeh is the blurry background caused by opening up the F – stop while taking pictures. A reason why I always shoot completely manual as one can get so much more out of your pictures if you have more control. Check out the creamy bokeh in this one!

Second is sister, beautiful

And “baby” brother far from a baby. I think these brothers and sister are all grown up already.

Next comes the sweetest girls, here are all three of them.

The middle sister gets the spotlight, adorable

Another family of four, I had to share the family one as its just too perfect. A feat really since little brother almost did not keep still for a second:)

And the second youngest sister, with the sweetest look ever.

Lastly came a family of four that were so so much fun. For this family, even though I adored every single photo I had to decide on just two for the blog so I decided the youngest two gets the spotlight. Here is youngest brother. We got such amazing shots from funny, to karate (or is is taekwando?) stances. Here he is in front of the basket ball courts and I loved how modern this background looks. I lighted it so the background blows out to white (that lovely Bokeh again)

Last one for the blog is friendly baby sister with the cutest outfit ever.

Thank you so much for joining me in the park everyone, for letting me drag you into the woods, making you sit on grass or rocks or whereever. I enjoyed it and hope you did too.

When a dear friend asked me some time ago whether I can take pictures of the homescholers I couldn’t wait to meet them all. I have the utmost admiration for these moms and dads that do all those research and work so hard to teach their children all about everything. Even subjects I hated as a child.
Belief it or not I am a numbers girl and you could give me mathematics and accountancy and economics any day but please spare me the languages. I also had a sincere despise for things like history (even though I aced it when I took it) and biology. Science I once remembered the teacher told me my final year “Brunilda, I think you need a priest to come say the last rites on your grades”. Haha I had such a bad year mark and then a genius hit in the exams that the school board completely ignored my yearmark and gave me the exam mark as final mark, that I promise is the only way I could walk away with a B.
Anyway, enough about my boring school. These children were all in such great spirits I do belief they have a much more fun school environment. This blog post is super long as I am showing a picture of each child and family unit that wanted to be included in the sneak peek.
First two brothers and a sister. Since its my dear friends children I feel safe saying they are super silly and I love it!

The oldest brother

then came middle brother

and little sister, a young lady.

Next family has the most adorable little girls imaginable. So super sweet and dare I say big sister is a natural model, loving the camera, so beautiful.

Big sister

and sweet baby sister.

Another family of three. There are others of them together but this one is just so quirky and fun I had to share it.

Older brother is a bit serious, I love his calmness.

Sister is just gorgeous

And little brother were a little unsure about the whole thing after he fell asleep in the car on the way, but we did manage to catch a few smiles.

Two boys this time. I could see how much fun these two have together. Always eager to climb the trees or leaning in for a hug for the photo.

Big brother

and little brother.

Last family came all co-ordinated, I am crazy about their outfits, work so well against the greens and blue of the sky. It was already very chilly when it was their session, so when they huddled together I got this photo.

How pretty is she?

Thanks to a love day filled with smiles, laughter and good conversation. Looking forward to the 27th January for the next group of homescholers!

Forgive me for showing a little more than usual in the slideshow, I love this family so much. My best friends from back when I lived in Dubai and still incredibly special to me. Miss K will always hold a place in my heart because she is Bianca’s “friend-twin” born on the same day, same hospital few doors apart. She is older because my Bianca took her time:)
We headed out to a new park in Al Barsha, Dubai. I have become such a scaredy cat about getting lost in Dubai but luckily Dad were the shaufeur and I just tagged along. When I saw the grasses I knew we would go on an expidition into them. My favorite photo ever were taking in those grasses!
Before I even show the slideshow I have to show the picture I am talking about. I just love it.

This one with mom is super special too. I somehow feel specifially drawn to the pictures of K where she is in her own world, looking away or as if into the future.
Lovely one of her modeling for me by the palm tree. I loved that she would decide she is a princess then I get these sweet smiles, in a blink she would tell me she is a monkey and then I’d get the quirky pics and then here is her model pose:)

Quirky K and a family pic I adore because it just shows so much love and fun between them. (B check out my photoshop here, can you spot it?)
Now for all the rest of the sneak peek in the slideshow. For blog readers, follow this link: From Princess to Monkey - Loved seeing you all again and can’t wait for out visit with the girls and the Grandma’s and Grand dad!

Wow, what a pleasure it was to meet little S and her family yesterday afternoon. She was such a friendly little girl, I loved every minute with her. I was greeted with the biggest smile, shown her barbie and her kitty. We haven’t even begun with the photos when I was led by hand to come look at her lovely toybox. We took photos in the house then headed out, and inside the toybox followed us. So adorable.
She thought the crazy lady was very funny when I got really dirty while taking pics of her outside. That comes with taking pictures of little people when you aren’t little (not even close!). I always go down on my knees, shuffle around on the ground, even lie down and I have no problem with grass, sand, ground just about anything. As a result this lady gets dirty and the children think its very funny!
Here is a few for a sneak peek, one of the firsts, maybe still getting used to the camera. I love the sweet contemplative look.

Isn’t this one gorgeous!

Talking with mom and dad. I think she was singing an arabic song here, but can’t remember any of it. I just have to learn arabic, been wanting to for so long but where to find the time and someone to teach in times that would suit? oh well, maybe it will be my new year’s resolution.

We headed out and I adore the ones one the grass, the white dress was a perfect choice.

I put this flower in her hair and she gave me a pink one for my hair. When I got home my eldest daughter said “Mommy you look like a little old lady” Haha!

Thanks for letting me spend some time with you and for putting up with the crazy places where I suggested we take photos:)

Here is just a very short sneak peek (more in your mail) of the more than usual good photos taken during our session on Saturday. I am definitely going to struggle to know which ones to select to edit, there are just so many. The boys were natural in front of the camera. I even got some friendly and fun ones for the little miss..
Here is the whole family (black and white)

The eldest

The middle

The young.
Three gorgeous children. Thanks again for coming.

It was a week full of birthday’s beginning with my little one’s birthday last week, then Daddy had a birthday and our family has even been blessed with another baby this week too. I can’t wait to meet him. He is the reason I am returning to South Africa for a visit next week.
This week end I decided to spend some bonding time with my two outside. The weather really are so gorgeous come 4pm or so these days so we headed out at about 4h30 when sleepy head woke up. They loved it outside and loved playing in the dust and leaves (I don’t care about a little dirt if children can have fun in the process). My two is not always so in love of the camera so our “photo session” didn’t last too long. Then the camera was packed away and we just had fun. Good thing too we took pictures in the beginning because it was not ten minutes or Mommy was covered in sand all over! Nothing like hugs from a toddler, covered in sand…
Here is a little collage I made of our short session.

What fun to have two gorgeous little boys (and their parents of course) in the studio. I absolutely loved the dances and songs their parents resorted to. So much fun in one family. I am sure there is always tons of giggles in their family. I didn’t know all the songs but I did know a little of “Hot dog, Hot dog, Hot diggidy dog!”
Here are a few photos. Enjoy.
As a start one of them together on a bean bag.

The big brother was so gallant and even said hello Madam with a handshake when they got here. Such a gentleman.

Little brother have such a strong personality and boy oh boy when he smiles he could turn anyone around his little finger.

Together in a basket

Let’s round out the sneak peek with one each of the boys again. Little brother -

and big brother

“Sand, fun and family” if I got it right.
What a fun morning with a beautiful family. A very early morning I might add. We started at 6h45 and it actually was already too hot at the end of the shoot.
I wanted to show several black and whites but the colours was just so amazing that most of your sneak peek is colour. The first is a lovely picture of the two cuties.

My favorite of the family as I love these kinds of pictures. I took some artistic liberties with this one of course. Can you spot the changes?

Mommy and big brother!

Daddy and little sister!

Next is the black and white of the family all together. Good sports, so early in the morning there are sprinklers so the grass wasn’t perfectly dry:)

Here is a close up of the strong big brother.

And of this one of little sister is so gorgeous. Sand , what could be more fun? We never even got to the balloons and bubbles Mom brought along:)

Last one was a complete gem. I never knew I took such a cute pic. They were just standing in the water. It was very bright out and so I couldn’t really check exactly what I got. When I downloaded at home I loved this pic. See – he actually picked her up completely and her feet are out of the water! How cute. I told you he was a strong big brother.

“Obrigado por compartilhar seu tempo comigo.”
