About me – Who Am I ?

I love life and everything in it. Throughout the years enough has happened to make me treasure every moment so much more. I realised some years back that you never know what lies around the corner and it is precisely that, that makes life so much more interesting, so much more fun.

I was born and raised in Pretoria, South Africa (Afrikaans girl). I grew up in a close knit wonderful family and my parents, bless them, are still happily married after 41 years! After school I went to university and then on to do my articles at Price Waterhouse Coopers. Then I entered the business world and ended up as an Internal Audit Manager. Back then I was sure this would be my life onward. I loved my job, and still find internal auditing captivating.

Then I met my soul mate! We got married in 2004, and I moved to Dubai to be with him. My eldest Bianca was in the making before I could find a suitable business opportunity and I became mommy first and all else second. In 2007 we moved to Abu Dhabi. Just when I was almost ready to return to the business world Erika came.

I’ve always loved design, loved colours, loved photography, loved art.  I joined a wonderful on-line community with fellow 2008 mommies and some of them had photography businesses. Slowly my love for photography returned. I desperately wanted gorgeous photos of Erika when she was 6 months and I started looking for someone really affordable ages before the event.

Then I kept  learning more about photography. Took some additional courses. I took my own photos of Erika, and then other people children too. Ever since my wonderful husband gave me an DSLR I have not looked back. My style is clean processing, and I love vivid colours. I do black and white’s sepia etc too, but colour is my passion.

This is the best job ever. I get to be with babies, children and all kinds of people, take pictures and work on the computer (another big love of mine). What more could I ask for, so now I am an Abu Dhabi Photographer in maternity, newborn, baby, toddler, child and family photography.

I learn something new each and every photo shoot, I try something new every time,too. We have loads of fun, and that’s what I am all about…
