I met this little boy a while ago during another photoshoot. I loved his little laugh then so was looking forward to seeing him again. He turned one today. Happy birthday! Only a very short sneak just for the birthday and one snap of the birthday cake and the candle. Enjoy, see you again at the end of the month.
Isn’t he just the cutest?

Of course you know me by now, I love close ups.

Pure love between Daddy and baby boy. I loved the interaction.

And then blowing out the candles. After the session part I took some snapshots where the party was being held. May I just say the cakes and cupcakes at the party looked to die for! It made me feel guilty for not doing anything for Erika’s birthday tomorrow!

I promised another gorgeous sneak peek and here I am to deliver. This little man was sweet as could be. We waited a tiny bit longer as usual for the newborn shoot so mommy could recover a little so he was already in a routine. It meant he was sleeping quite well during our shoot (I got there during his afternoon nap). He was too big for most of the props I would usually use so I just took a whole suitcase of stuff with me and decided I’d play to see what worked.
He was such a super model. He loved the beanbag, he loved his little head stroked. Oh my goodness have I ever mentioned how much I love my job? Okay okay, I have, I know, but I’m sorry it’s just so much fun to cuddle such teeny tiny babies! Here is your sneak peek. There just were so many I wanted to share, so many that made me go “awww!” so I had to share all of these.
Of course I can’t resist a baby on a black background. I’d be lost without my black velvet:) He is snugling in a red spider web cacooon I got from a fellow photog, sassy design.

The whole family. Look at that little pout, this was just before he decided he needed a little bit of milk.
Last one for the sneak peek is this sweet and really intimate family portrait.

Today I had two sessions planned and at first I thought its going to be tough. But boy it was so much fun. It was both, super gorgeous sessions. This mommy was so so so magnificently beautiful, her eyes captivating. I also got to try out more of my backgrounds which I enjoyed.
Enjoy your sneak peek.
I usually ask prospective mommies, or any clients really, to think of the type of photos they find appealing. So when C showed me something on a textured wall I immediately remembered I just got a new background in. I love how it turned out. I won’t try to copy something exactly as my style is different from other photographers. But if something appeals to you we could certainly try to create a similar feel if you wish. So you’ll only see me glance at something you show me or listen briefly at something then nod and know where we are going with it:) I love how this turned out. (now tell me this doesn’t look like a real wall!)

Dad having Mommy in his grip! Haha! They were such a fun couple and suit each other so well. This is a chocolate conversion.

Another of the beautiful baby bump. A blossoming baby bump agains a beautiful blossoming flower.

And one of mommy to be. All of these in colour, because I just could not bring myself to convert them as everyone know by now I really really love colour:)

What will it be? Pink or blue? For now, we’ll just keep the little booties white untill we know whether it’s a boy or girl.

Having a little conversation. Goodbye for now, last of the sneak peek.

I couldn’t wait to meet today’s little angel. I met his parents some time ago.
He is just as gorgeous as his parents, tall also as can be expected. We were lucky to get one set of semi nakey pictures since little baby boy did not want to be feeling the breeze. Very interesting that more often than not the boys don’t like it:) He was very thirsty too and I hope he slept later as he really was quite wakeful (although restful) during the session.
Here is your sneak peek, enjoy.
There is a few I adore but since I am a complete sucker for colour this bluer one has got to be first.
Isn’t he a gorgeous little boy? Nothing as wonderful as a baby at rest. This is a chocolate conversion.
All curled up and comfortable.
Nakey baby in a basket, with a little smile even.

We had so much fun today. Mommy and Daddy of this future soccer star had so many ideas and generally we just had lots of fun. They were so natural and the camera loved them. The joy at almost welcoming their little baby boy clearly visible. Hope you enjoy the sneak peek.
First lets say hello to the future soccer star:)

Close up of the soon to be parents. Dont they look so happy and looking forward to this new phase in their lives?

Another one in black and white

Here’s Mommy. Isn’t this new background so lively, I love how vibrant and fun it looks and the red top really shows the lovely baby bump so beautifully.

Mom and Dad having fun and “talking” to baby.

I enjoy reading about people around me, I love news but I am just not a news reader (or watcher). I know that might make me sound ignorant. It all began when there were very little TV that is interesting when I was young. We were allowed to watch what we wanted but then at a certain time it would be news time. As you can imagine super boring to the two of us (my brother and I) to hear the same kind of news day in and day out. I guess what made it worse was that right after news time it was bed time (and I’ve always been a night owl, not ready for bed at 8)!
So is it any wonder really that I just never got into it. I do like to hear little tidbits and therefore I love hearing the news on the radio (and I generally only listen to the radio if I am in the car and the kids didnt win out to have the Dora CD in. I’ve discovered a few things to help me read all kinds of interesting things while not being the traditional “news at 7″. Twitter and blogs and even facebook, you name it I’ve discovered lots of ways to hear about the relevant news through those methods and the odd internet forum board.
I discovered a particular twitter handle @Abudhabilife that pulls blog header through from somewhere I honestly don’t know how they do it, but I love following their tweets. Through them I have discovered several blogs within our city and it is so much fun, reading from other expats. Local things going on etc.
Once you know of a blog that you like how do you follow it? Subscribe to the feed, sure, then remember to go into your browser to go see which feeds changed or just copy whatever link you originally saw that you liked and open your google reader account. In google reader on the left say subscribe paste that whole link in there and voila the whole blog will be pulled in. Older posts too, neatly almost like a book.
I have grouped my blogs that I keep track of in folders: Abu Dhabi, Photographers, Miscellaneous. Whenever there is any of the blogs with new entries it will show up as having unread posts. Quick way to read and stay abreast of them all and not accidentally missing out:) I love that its only one bookmark on my favorites, I click that one button and up pops all the blogs I follow at once.
When a certain post is really good you click on the title and it will instantly take you through to the real post on the particular blog and you can place your comments there. Because you do want to post comments, make the writers know that their blogs are read, make a connection!
Try it, its so much fun.
I have to post some of my heart poictures too since I haven’t in some time. Here are some I took yesterday afternoon. I played with a few things in camera so the pictures aren’t perfect technically but I love them dearly as they captured little pieces of my darlings’ personalities:

Go try out following other blogs and if you find any worth mentioning please come back and tell us! Oh, and look at the bottom of the blog, there you will find the new toolbar to take you to my own facebook and twitter account for instance where I always make new promotions and ideas known first…. You can read the latest without even leaving this page:)

A day or so early, I want to wish everyone a wonderful Eid.

I loved how healthy and strong my little guest of today’s shoot was. At one time when we tried placing him on his stomach he just made his legs straight and took some weight on his legs, so strong. He was quite relaxed and in a good mood for the first part of the session then got hungry and were not afraid to show it:) What I adored about him, even if it made it slightly difficult to photograph was that he was in his own magic world. Just not interested in looking at me or even his parents. In a few I caught his attention though:)
As so often with this age baby, he did not want to be out of Mommy or Daddy’s arms he wanted to be upright looking around. Therefore even though Mom and Dad did not plan on being in any of the pictures they jumped in with both feet. Such a blessing really as we got some gorgeous ones with Mom and Boy, Dad and Boy and the whole family too.
First the close up, meet little Mr O

Then one on mommy’s shoulder. Hello world, hmmm I wonder what is down there… Black and white conversion

Let me lounge around in the basket, ‘kay? Look how cute he is curling his little foot.

This is such a gorgeous one of Mommy and Baby.

Lounging on black velvet..
And lastly for the sneak peek is this lovely family portrait. This is a chocolate black and white conversion.
