I met a lovely little girl and her parents today. When they got here Mom told me she is more of a thinker than a smiler and that proved to be true, yet I just loved her inquisitiveness. She reminded me a lot about Erika as Erika also always appear serious (especially on photos), yet is a very happy girl non the less. Thanks so much for coming your friendly nature is contagious! I also loved hearing how close Norwegian is to Afrikaans.

First the photo that gave this post its name. A tisket a tasket a little girl in a basket.

Now for the family picture. The love and friendliness so clearly visible they are beaming:)

One with her teddy bear.

Climbing all over the stair stepper. I got it out so I could climb on and take a picture from above but the minute she saw it she was all over it. Climbing up and down. So in the end I just took pics of her.

Ooo the pretty lights. The kiddies seem to be fascinated, never scared, but definitely fascinated. I recently took some school photos and I had the whole class (in the smaller classes) looking at the lights and not me. I had to bribe them with promising to make the lights flash if they give me one photo where everyone looks at me:)

This little beauty loved seeing the baby on the camera also. At the end of the session she was so used to me in fact she would come up to me to show me all her toys etc. Difficult to take pics then but I just loved that she was so comfortable.

And lastly for the sneak peek is “when you’re happy and you know it”.  A toddler session means singing, a good thing I know ALL the songs, and love singing them even if I am completely off tune:-)

As I mentioned on my facebook fan page I am looking into starting an on-line course in the basics of getting to know your camera better and also gain some skills in photo editing.

The course will be around 6 weeks long and mainly will be run through e-mail. Every two weeks we could meet to practice skills. I will help evaluate your photos etc.

If you are interested, pre-register by sending me a mail, at brunilda@brunilda.me and in the heading have “pre-register july/aug” or sep/oct

Details of course index and will be sent to you later and you can then opt in or out. If there is enough interest I will run a course both in July/August and in Sept/Oct.

In your e-mail please mention how far along you are in knowing your camera, which camera you have and what would you like to gain from the course.

Hoping to meet and work with everyone that has been asking about this.

O my goodness. I can’t remember when last I said so many ooh, awws about an 8 month old perfect little cutie. She was so super cute, so calm and friendly and the camera just absolutely loved her. Loved the session. It was short and sweet as we just got so many very quickly.

Proper baby pictures, for your pleasure. first is a chocolate black and white. As everyone I love these.

Hi there little darling! Look how friendly!

How cute is she in this little outfit. I love the hat!

Honestly isn’t she just perfect?

This morning I met with the competition winner of the “Abu Dhabi Cutest baby or child competition” held earlier, a lively little 2 year old boy.  It’s really heating up outside and therefore we arranged to meet at 7h30. One thing led to another and we only started at 8am. Who knew it would already be so hot and sticky, very bright? So therefore we now know that from now on until end of summer, morning sessions outside has to start very very early! Not many more weeks to go then outside will not be doable at all.

I was really happy to have found a new little location. Mr C was more interested in running around in the lovely empty park. We shot only for about 20-30 minutes and then decided to just let him have some fun. We will do another session in studio later and another a few months from now when it’s cool again, outside.

At first he peered out at me, then he loved climbing the rocks.

Then he saw ants and were facinated.

Last a black and white:

Thanks for meeting me. Can’t wait to see him a few more times! All part of the competition prize of course!

This sneak peek is posted a bit late. The edits was done but I really struggled with uploading. Hope it was worth the wait for you:) At first a bit unsure about the camera, I love how regal and calm you appear later on. The camera loves you!

The parents to be:

Here is a close up of the little surprise coming end June.

Another in blue. Love the bright colours again the black

Mom’s request. I always shoot until I feel we have a reasonable amount of unique poses, or when the children get tired. Then I ask the client if there were anything they particularly wanted to try. Sometimes they bring in their own props and other times, its a pose they saw before on my site or elsewhere. I love this as ultimately its you the client that should exactly what you were looking for. If its reasonable we will achieve it! This pose worked so well. I show it here in the chocolate black and white that I love so much:

Last one for your sneak peek is actually my favorite. The red on black is so striking and I loved how serene you looked her. Distinguised, calm and ready for baby

It’s not often a mom can be so blessed to have all three her children together AND get some photos taken, when some of them live in another country. I am so glad I could help you out and get some pictures for you.

Here are the siblings together

First the brother, hanging out on the rocks

Still on the rocks. I tried for a blown out effect behind her to fade everything but her.

And then a close up by a palm tree.

I was so so blessed to have the perfect little model this morning in  the studio. Her parents and grandmother drove all the way from Al Ain (you may remember the maternity sneak peek here). Thank you for bringing this sweet angel to meet me. I have seen her picture on facebook. I was so surprised and in awe at how small she is, she looked bigger to me in the pictures. She has the finest features.

What I adored also were that the parents brought their own props. It made the photos unique and its lovely incorporating things form the baby’s own environment/ room into the shoot.

Without further ado, the one I absolutely am amazed at. The colors are just gorgeous and of course I have a little bit of extra love for it, as I know that flag! You guessed it, South Africa.

Let’s start with the whole family (and I just realised we didn’t take any of grandmother. So sorry! we were all so in awe of the little one that it slipped our minds. Maybe next time you are in the UAE you could come over for a shoot)

Here is some itty bits. Love tiny toes!

For the rest let me share them as they were taken. There are a ton stunning pictures, therefore the sneak peek is rather large:) For this one (and several others) she gave us a lovely smile. She truly was a little model. I would put her down and voila, perfect for the shot, every time she would move into a position that is just oh so cute!

I cannot help but giggle at this picture. Looks like she is trying to say, “oh boy, this sounds like hard work, I’d rather just hang out here”

Isn’t this the cutest most perfect picture of little baby doll? Totally her own doing, she turned and lay like this, ready for her photo.

Mommy specifically wanted a cocoon picture and i must say this one is exceptional. Look at where the little feet are. Like many newborns she was super comfy and almost didn’t want to come out again!

Last but certainly not least. The special love of a mom and her daughter.

Yesterday I met this lovely mommy in Dubai’s, Safa Park to do a few follow up shots with little monkey. He loved the bowl, loved the outside weather and was really good. Here are two:

Today a lovely couple drove all the way from Dubai to have their newborn session. I loved meeting the little man. who is 8 days old. His Mommy quickly started calling him little monkey as he was not so very happy. It seemed clear however his poor tummy was a bit sore. Non the less I had a pleasant surprise when I downloaded the pictures. Many beautiful ones.

What’s more, next Thursday I get to take some more pics, in one of Dubai’s parks. I hardly ever go to Dubai but when my hubby said he wanted to go I promptly arranged with two of my clients to meet them there as both are from Dubai! I can hardly wait to get the opportunity to photograph a tiny little baby boy outside, it will be a first for me.

Isn’t he just the sweetest little thing!

Then the whole family (well apart from doggie of course)

A kiss from the gorgeous mommy.

Daddy’s turn.

Awake but for the moment quite happy to be on his stomach.

Last one is little feet. Love tiny baby bits.
