Hi there, its been crazy busy with admin, catching up with the gallery backlog and what not here. Last night I finalised the new website and its already life. You will see some changes. I added a little more about me, I added more up to date photos in the galleries and all over it was an overhaul. I also worked a little bit on the blog design as well as the twitter background, to now make it all blend in together. The blog should get another change in a little while as I am not completely satisfied yet.
So browse around and let me know if there is anything you’d like me to add, more you’d like to see, less you’d like to see etc.
What everyone should start to notice is that pages should load much faster. I have started loading only small file sized pictures to make data transfer as quick as possible. Hopefully galleries should also now load much faster. It might mean pictures look marginally less perfect but I think its a good middelway in order to have faster page loads. Should anyone feel their gallery is not perfect enough they are welcome to ask for bigger files and I will increase it to acceptable levels, the gallery will then load slower again though.
Here is a little sneak peek of what the website and twitter pages look like now (below is also what a smaller file sized picture will look like. I am sure everyone agrees its still crystal clear):

I really honestly have no idea how I got to be so lucky to get to meet my 6th small baby for this year. Yep, I just realised its 6, see all of them listed in the “precious” category on this blog.
And then I was even more blessed to meet another strapping Afrikaans boy, all the way from Dubai. He is a little darling at 4 weeks old. The world is much too small (which I love!) and it turns out this little boy’s mom often sees the midwife that helped when I had Bianca back in 2005 in Dubai. A lovely surprise to get greetings from her.
Thanks so much for coming, I really enjoyed your company!
Here is your sneak peek. Despite him not really wanting photos toward the end and refusing to sleeping when there is a camera nearby, I think we got some lovely ones.
First the whole family together

Then he got to lie on the sheepskin rug. He just loved it, so much so that Mom and Dad promised him one of his own:)

The cute hat pic, I can’t wait to get some new hats in, I need more things for boys!

Isn’t it cute how many different expressions he has. This one all serious while the previous one was sooo curious.

Mommy tried to comfort him when he started getting tired and we tried to get him to sleep.

The one and only picture we got where he was sort of maybe asleep, was this one. The poor thing kept waking up, so we didn’t really try long and just let him sleep. When they went home though he was snoring away!

And for the last peek I kept my favorite. I just love this one, he gives us a little smile.

Mr M and his family came to visit the studio for their newborn shoot. He started off safely in dreamland and then later woke up and was very interested to see what’s going on around him. Let’s just say it was kind-of eventful and luckily there is such a thing as washing machine’s:) Both Dad and I had to change our clothing. I thought it was super funny and didn’t even bat an eyelid but I don’t think Dad was completely happy, although he was a good sport:) Don’t worry Daddy, at least we know he is surely a very healthy boy (and a hungry one too I might add!).
Here is your sneak peek, enjoy.
First sleeping comfy. The little hat was knit by a friend of mine all the way from the UK, Sassy Design.

Another, still lazily sleeping.

Ahh, Daddy arrived!

Hmm, So I’m awake and I want to know - what is going on here!

I just love this one. Look his full little tummy. It takes me back to when Bianca and Erika were small babies. Those puppy full tummy’s were to die for. Loved it!

The last one. “I’ll just site here with Daddy then shall I?”

On Saturday afternoon I visited a lovely family at their home only down the road from my own. Big sister was at first a bit unsure about the whole thing but very soon relaxed and we had great fun. Little brother was all smiles right from the start. Also quite fitting we got a nice Irish photo of the two men in the household, in time for St Patrick’s day next month.
Here is your sneak peek, enjoy.
First one of baby boy with Mom and Dad. I just love this one, it looks so relaxed and almost as if he is laughing so hard that he is hiding his laugh behind his hand.

Laughter was the name of the game, and here big sister is being swung around, and having great fun with it.

One for St Patrick’s day

One of the two cuties together.

Handsome little brother.

And last but not least a fun and beautiful one of the princess of the house.

You might remember this gorgeous Mommy’s maternity session way back when (Title: Yummy Mummy). Little S was born healthy and a bit tinier than her sister was. Yesterday they visited and we could get pictures of the whole family this time!
Here is your sneak peek, enjoy!
First a family photo, all together. Look how proud M is to hold her little sister.
And another family photo. There is even a few more for your gallery. I just love the sweetness in this one.
Now, meet little miss S. Shhh we’re trying to get her to sleep!
This one is actually a full body portrait photo but I cropped in closer to show her little face more.
And then, she sleeps…
And still sleeping…

It’s that time of the year again where we get to be as quirky and gushy and sweet as we want to. All hearts and flowers and pinks and reds. I made these for the girls to hand out. For the 4year olds we have been punching holes in the corner and stringing ribbon through to make a necklase. They are so proud of their little cards!
Enjoy your valentine’s day!

On Friday afternoon we headed to Corniche park. It was 3h30pm and I knew the timing would be nice, not yet cold, lovely weather. Yet boy o boy I havent been in a public park on a Friday in some time. I was shocked and amazed how many people were around. I loved the atmosphere and the wonderfully “holiday” cheer around us.
It was so much fun scouting around for little pockets of places we could make our own for the shoot. Turely loved every minute of it. The little one was so friendly and always on the run. The slide was the most fun!
Here is your sneak peek, hope you enjoy.
Look how blessed is this little boy to have such attentive grandparents! A visit from the grandparents while being expat here is always a very special time.

One with Mommy. This was actually the very last photo taken. We tried the whole afternoon for a nice one with mom but he was just too fast for us. But in the end, we got it! I haven’t edited away the distractions in this one yet, will do so for your gallery.

Some fun ones with Daddy. And may I just say, this Dad has got to be one of the most energetic Dad’s I’ve seen. Running, swinging his boy, etc The list is just too long.

And one high in the air!

I wanted to play a little and processed the next two with a little bit of drama. I have them as regular edits too for your gallery. I thought they made interesting portraits.
First in the sand. Oblivious to 4 adults trying to interact with him. His truck and sand is all his little world consisted of at that moment.

And completely in his element on the tunnel slide. He went down, then up again, then down again, then up again. Loved it!

.A gorgeous couple came over today for a mini shoot. It was such a pleasure to take their photos and I enjoyed their comfort and ease with one another. I felt it fitting that I get to shoot a romantic couple so close to valentines!
Here are 2 of your photos, the rest will follow in your gallery.
Aren’t they gorgeous?
And this one I love for the fun and laughter.

My poor little one had a terrible week last week. Doctors told us it was a heavy allergic reaction, we still believe it was a virus. What ever it was it covered her little body in rashes. But luckily its gone now and hopefully the little scars will also disappear soon. She is much better and I couldnt help taking some snaps today. I wish I had planned it out more as these are just snaps. Maybe next week I could do a more planned out shoot with her.

Today was a lovely maternity photo shoot. Mommy-to-be truly radiant. I wish you a very easy move and a wonderful birth to come! The midwives at the hospital is amazing so I know you will be well taken care of.
Can’t wait to hear if its a boy or girl..
Here is Mommy with her first baby

Some of the beautiful baby-belly

And a lovely one of the blossoming soon-to-be parents

Gorgeous Mommy, I just love the laugh in her eyes.

And another of the beautiful tummy

I end the sneak peek with the parents to be’s photo

Well its been some time since I did a regular photo session. It’s been school photos for the last three weeks. In this time we revamped the studio completely. Today an absolutely stunning family were here to be the very first clients in the new studio.
I was amazed at the colours that jumped out at me once I started editing. Is it possible one family and one little boy can be so striking? He is so gorgeous. Little B was certainly one of the most active little people I’ve ever seen, and I adored every minute of it.
Here is your sneak peek, I hope you enjoy.
He couldn’t sit still and mom and dad had to try to keep the play in front of the camera. Here he is with mom, while playing on the teeter totter.
One of him alone. Stunning. I can’t get enough.
Here is one of the family. Little B was already on his way somewhere. There was so many things to play with, why must I keep still mommy! (By the way I also used green screen technology to put this picture on a blue background and it looks stunning that way too, maybe even better than the original. I will include it in your gallery)
Auntie could get the biggest laughs out of him. Or maybe all the songs helped. From “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star”, all the way to “The Grand Old Duke of York”!
One with Mommy.
And last but certainly not least. The picture that I knew I wanted to edit the minute I took it. We were playing peek a boo. Or actually the afrikaans version “waar’s ek, waar’s ek – hier’s ek!”
